<p align="justify">Kelebihan buku ini dibanding buku-buku berlatih psikotes terbitan penerbit lokal adalah adanya interpretasi atas hasil yang diperoleh.  Jika Anda mengerjakan sekian jawaban benar, maka Anda dapat masuk kategori tertentu.  Apakah excellent, good, average, fair, or poor.  Jadi kita tahu seberapa tinggi kemampuan IQ kita. </p>
<p align="justify">Namun demikian, buku ini tidak memberikan penjelasan atas kunci jawaban.  Jadi jika jawabannya A, maka kuncinya hanya A saja, tanpa ada penjelasan bagaimana prosesnya sehingga didapatkan jawaban  tersebut.  Dan satu lagi hal penting lainnya, buku ini masih dalam bahasa Inggris, so untuk yang mau menggunakan buku ini sebagai latihan, disarankan untuk mentranslate dulu ke dalam bahasa Indonesia, kecuali Anda sudah mahir berbahasa Inggris bisa langsung menggunakannya.</p>

<p align="justify"> Penulis buku ini membagi pengukuran HR ke dalam tiga besar komponen inti HR , yakni: (1) produktivitas dan efisiensi, (2) <em>Staffing dan Learning</em>, (3) <em>Talent and Reward</em>.  Setiap pengukuran dirancang dengan hati-hati dan dengan hasil kalkulasi yang  dijelaskan secara detail sehingga memudahkan pembaca untuk langsung menerapkannya.  Buku ini juga menjelaskan mengapa dan bagaimana pengukuran tersebut berguna.</p>
<p align="justify">Secara total, buku ini terdiri dari 36 bab yang berarti terdapat 36 pengukuran HR di buku ini. Dimulai dari bagaimana mengukur tingkat absen berdasarkan <em>job category</em> dan <em> job performance</em> dan ditutup dengan teknik mengukur <em>total compensation expense per employee</em>.  Di masing-masing komponen inti yang telah disebutkan di atas dibagi lagi kedalam beberapa pengukuran  sebagai berikut; komponen produktifitas dan efisiensi terdapat 19 pengukuran. Komponen <em>staffing and learning</em> 9 pengukuran, dan komponen <em>talent and reward</em> 8 pengukuran. </p>
<p align="justify">Pada setiap bab diberikan definisi pengukuran tersebut, formula yang digunakan, komponen pengukurannya, dimana data didapat, contoh, dan makna dari hasil yang didapat.  Sungguh buku yang sangat bermanfaat bagi Anda yang berkecimpung di dunia HR.</p>
<p align="justify">Buku ini juga dilengkapi dengan <em>glossary</em>, sehingga jika ada istilah yang kita tidak mengerti kita dapat mengacu ke bagian ini.  Mungkin yang jadi masalah bagi orang HR terhadap aplikasi  buku ini adalah jika data-data yang akan diolah tidak ada.  Berarti Anda mesti mengumpulkan datanya dulu yang belum tentu sudah ada.  Namun, bagaimanapun Anda dapat segera memulainya untuk membantu Anda menjadi HR Partner di perusahaan Anda.  Selamat mengukur.</p>

<p align="justify">Di bagian aptitude test, sama seperti buku sebelumnya aptitude tes  dibuku ini terdiri dari 2 bagian, baik bagian satu maupun bagian dua berhubungan dengan spatial ability, logic, verbal, dan numerical tes.  Tes di bagian 1 terdiri dari 40 soal yang dipisahkan berdasarkan 4 sub tes disebutkan di atas dengan batas pengerjaan 2 jam,  sementara tes di bagian 2 terdiri dari 20 soal dengan batasan waktu 1 jam pengerjaan. Kita diminta untuk mengikuti batasan waktu tersebut atau skor yang kita dapat menjadi tidak berarti.  Dalam tes ini diberikan interpretasi atas nilai yang kita dapat.   Hanya sayangnya buku ini masih dalam bahasa Inggris dan belum diterjemahkan, jadi untuk yang mau berlatih dengan menggunakan buku ini diharapkan sudah memahami bahasa Inggris seperti kita berbahasa Indonesia, sebab kalau tidak, maka interpretasinya menjadi tidak valid.  Tapi paling tidak, jika ingin berlatih soal-soal tes, buku ini cukup berbobot.  Selamat membaca!     </p>

<p align="justify">Setahu saya buku ini juga sudah diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia, Anda dapat mencarinya di toko buku dengan judul yang sama.  Mungkin kelemahan buku ini adalah tidak adanya informasi psikometri atas alat ukur yang digunakan, misalnya seberapa valid dan reliabel alat tersebut.  Di samping itu, untuk tes inteligensi,  yang tersedia hanya range umum untuk menginterpretasikan hasil yang diperoleh dari jawaban kita.  Namun lepas dari kekurangannya, buku ini tetap asyik untuk dibaca dan dicoba oleh Anda.  Siapa tahu Anda menjadi lebih paham mengenai diri Anda sendiri.</p>
